Check out your fan clutch, this sound exactly like the problem. With
the engine up to temperature, you should feel a good airflow off the
radiator. You should be able to tell the difference as the clutch
engages and disengages. You can force this with a water hose, just
spray the radiator down enough to lower the water temp and see if the
airflow decreases. If not, check too see if your electric fan is
running at high temp. If it is, then you need a clutch.
