How to install CD player? [325iX]

The time has come!

After two months of singing (badly :) to myself, I have finally gotten
a CD deck for the iX. Thanks, Dad :) Anyway, I need to figure out how
to make it work with the E30's amp. I assume that the thing under the
rear deck is an amplifier? This deck has pre-outs to communicate with
the amplifier, not speaker-level outputs.
