Outerlights & Resetting

I have a 525i , 1993 and the outer lights crack. Is there anything that may
cover the lenses so I wouldn't have to replace so often. Same thing for the
fog lamps.
Any suggestions on replacing and protecting would be helpful.
Also any hints on resetting the oil change indicators etc... would be be
appreciated.
