A short while ago, there were a few posts on the Digest regarding
swapping normal E36 shifters with the Z3/M Roadster shifter as a means
to achieve a short throw. I've driven both the M Roadster and the M
Coupe and was very impressed with the short and solid shift throws on
the cars and am interested in the modification for my new M3. What is
the part number for the Roadster shifter? As well, for those of you
who've tried it, is the shift quality improved similar to a normal short
shift kit? I had a custom buile short shift in my E34 530i previously
and loved it. I know there are many kits on the market and have visited
a few sites including www.shortshift.com but I'm still investigating the
alternatives. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in
advance.
