 The diodes are only used if there was one bulb and two switches.
If you have two bulbs they are independent.
You need to measure if the two wires have switched ground or 12 V.
If one of the factory wires have 12 volt all the time you connect
your third wire to ground.
But if the 12 volt only is on when the "dome" is one you need to find
a permanent 12 volt to connect your third wire to.
