Pat mentioned IT racing which is associated with SCCA regional ONLY racing.

I believe Rob mentioned stock class club racing.   Stock class club racing
per SCCA rule books only allows cars produced in the last 5 years for
national competition, an additonal 2 years of regional comp is allowed
after that.
So if you want stock class racing thats with the BMW or Porsche clubs.

The E30 M3 did not qualify for SCCA club racing (a company
has to sell >5,000 examples/year in US to qualify) other than SPU or SPO
(both regional only).

The E30 M3 is a great BMW club race car, stock or otherwise.
The Porsche ditto for their club race program.  Forget SCCA talk with these
2 cars unless you do cone chasing.
