Filtering out members? (WOB)

I've read some posts suggesting that Richard filter out certain members 
so we don't have to read their B.S..  I suggest that the best way to 
stop someone from posting is to just ignore them.  Most people get the 
hint when they're being ignored and will go seek out those that will 
listen to them.  Speaking to a brick wall can get really boring - even 
for the most zealous blow-hards.  Silence is deadly!
