<e36> turbo systems

The MechTech turbo system uses an oil-less VATN variable vane turbo.
Quick spool up, but runs out of air at the top end. This is the turbo
system that Suzy had trouble getting to fit on her M3. To my knowledge,
the MechTech system uses a boost-dependent fuel pressure regulator
to increase fueling under boost. Not a terrifically precise way of
metering fuel, if you ask me, and way cause part throttle driveability
problems.

For my completely biased opinion, I'd say if you want a turbo,
go do an Active Autowerke turbo system. http://www/activeautowerke.com
The fact that Jim Conforti himself helped developed the fueling
systems for the AA turbo systems should be a huge testament to the
thoughtfulness of design.

Not to mention everything in the AA kit is overengineered and
beautifully made.
