<E36> Rr Int Lights Q's, Rr Headrests Q's

Hello all,

I have some questions concerning the rear interior lights and rear
headrests for a 1994 325iA E36 sedan...

1st: I have a problem. Usually whenever there are passengers in the rear
seats, they would like the lights turned on for x reasons....so I oblige
and turn on the interior lights. However, I'm greeted with the huge
light right above the interior rear view mirror as well. Very
distracting. Now...I've noticed newer E36's with the rear interior light
INDEPENDANT of the main light switch.

Here's the good part. Now the rear passengers can turn on the lights w/o
getting me distracted and peeved at them (i.e. "finish up what you're
doing! This damn light's distracting!!!"). How can I install THOSE rear
light switches on the older style. Where would I get those switches,
(dealer?), what's the difference, how do they install??? I WANT them!
:-)

2nd: I've also seen that the newer E36's also have rear headrests. Not
only are they a comfort for my peevish rear seat passengers, but a
safety feature as well. A friend of mine had neck pains cuz of whiplash
in the backseat when we were rear-ended at only <5 mph! Anyway, same
questions apply here....how do I get them, install them?

I'm sure there are some out there who've thought and maybe tried this
out. PLEASE help.

Also some background info....

The rear reading light assembly has just 2 wires going to it, a brown
and red one I think. So...I don't know what to think or how I'd start to
go about doing this... :-(

Also don't the rear seat headrests bolt onto the metal rear shelf? If
this is true then installations should be relatively easy. But where is
the installation? I haven't removed the rear seats and platic shelf to
find out, but in the truck you can see two small holes surrounded by a
round metal peice welded to the regular metal unibody. Seems superflous
when nothing's in those holes (2 pairs on each side of the car). I
*think* they're the mounting points...but I'm not sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
