[E36] Changing Speakers

Hi.  My car has the premium sound option (1994 318i).

I was wondering about changing some front speakers.

Do I have to take off the door moulding to replace those door speakers?  Or
can the grilles pop off somehow?

Also, is it possible for me to replace just the kick panel speaker --while
leaving the rest of the speakers as is?  I was concerned about there being
some imbalance in sound (since the new speaker would probably take more
power and play softer).
