Well, I know Jim C. & Josh were wanting to sort the final bugs out of their
protoypes, but I'm gonna go ahead and spill the beans here RIGHT NOW.
Although it's in the final phase of testing, it's basically sorted out and
is showing tremendous horsepower gains vs. everything else on the market.
Expect on the order of 80 hp additional (E36 M3) for a paltry $ 195.00 for
the kit. Works on every BMW model except old 320's (nothing can help them).
Best of all, you can get all the major components locally and put it
together yourself.
It's Hampster-powered. That's right. Hampsters. Cute lil' fuzzy thangs.
Remember those little hampster wheels where the critters run around the
wheel at about 200 mph? That's the basis of the kit. With this adaptor kit
that splices in just forward of the Air Mass Sensor, those lil' rodents will
spin up a boost equal to a Dinan Stage 14 Supercharger with NO BEARING
FAILURE. Two of the furry little rascals are kept in the wheel at all times
so boost comes on early. Jim recommends you keep at least an extra half a
dozen of the varmits in the trunk as speedy replacements as they tend to
expire quite unexpectedly during track sessions.
All that's left to do is to figure out a hydration system for the hampsters
so they don't pass out and some form of screening device (on occasion, one
of the critters sometimes gets sucked into the intake on full throttle
acceleration - if you see a puff of fur come outta the exhaust while
following one of these cars, well - that's what happened) and the kit will
be ready.
I've got my order in now.
And for those that want even MORE power, the optional Gerbil version (120
hp) is in Beta testing right now.

P.S. It's rumored that UUC Motorwerks is experimenting with genetically
altered Hampsters (GAH's) that eat Pizza for even more horsepower - these
will be available at Pet Mart stores nationwide.
