    the new "autocar" from england has just landed in the u.s.a. it is the
10/14/98 issue and features the  new beast....cover page photo.....and 4 page
article on the spec....indicates that car will be in england in may '99..i
wonder what that means for us yanks in line ....
     in addition to the tech stuff that it clarifies(most readers have already
heard) it talks about the interior details.you can chose between a "sportiva"
or "exclusive "finish.one has titanium look aluminum w/alcantara suede or
nappa leather or soft leather & polished green wood(picture indicates high
polish redder than standard 540 interior....
       the rear bumper has some markings on it that look alot like the
mercedes parktronic system but know mention is made of it in the
article....run to get it at your nearest news shop that carries european car
mags......
     oh yeah it also talks about an engine temp. indicator light  that is on
the tachometer to  tell you what temp the engine is running at....
      i also saw another mag that in english says that bmw spec. indicates
that the car will pull 1.2 g's in a turn....should be interesting...
