THis is really simple to do.  THe emblems are stuck on with pins on either
side, and grommets.  All you need to do is pry the old ones off, and if
the grommets are in bad condition, take them out too.  I used a knive
covered witha  cloth, but there's probably a safer way to do it.  The new
emblems for your car are 
for trunk:  part # 51 14 1 872 969    $11.95
for hood:   part # 51 14 8 132 375    $10.95
from Bav Auto.  I wouldn't recommend getting a used one, as most are in
pretty bad condition.  You might want to replace the roundels on your
wheels while you're at it.  They're stickers, and they're pretty
inexpensive, but I don't know the part # or the price.
