Re: bmw-digest V9 #406

Hey digesters,
	I have a 87 325is with the stock exhaust and was wondering if two glasspacks
at the end (instead of the muffler) would help with horsepower.  I have a
buddy who has this and it sounds great but not sure if it would help.  Any
thoughts?  Also what octane should I be running?  Does the higher octane help
any or is it just  a waste of money?  Thanks for any help.
