Get the auto to a trusted mechanic and pay them the $100.00 or so to go over
it with a fine tooth comb.  That inspection will tell the story of the car
and give you the info. you need to make your decision.  If it is a saltwater
flood car, then it will show underneath and in nooks/crannies.  If the
compression is bad, then it will show, and so on.

The price sounds like the car is worth checking into.  If this car is
something you plan on driving for awhile, who cares about resell $$$ if you
get a fair acquisition price?  You will still get a fair price on the resell
side later, even if it is lower than another non-reconstructed titled car.
