In one statement you manage to put your judgement to question, diminish
your own argument ("from what little I know"), and offer no supporting
information. I guess that qualifies as an opinion. Here's mine:

Dinan puts a lot of engineering into its "systems" and Steve is a very
knowledgable enthusiast. This fact cannot be argued away.

The one complaint that many have in common is the expense of Dinan's
products. There may be some support for this attitude, but one must
consider that Steve does business in a state that imparts punative taxes
and fees on a business (worker's comp, state taxes, local and state
environental fees and permits, state disability, and on and on). Steve also
has to pay a competitive wage in this valley or risk not having experienced
techs. If you know how housing prices here have changed over the last 5
years you can relate. In spite of this, if you are a card carrying member
of the CCA, you get a break on labor. Also, Steve recently sponsored a
great tech session at his expense. Granted it's good for business but also
informative even if you bought or expect to buy nothing.

So bottom line, if your own argument to yourself is weak, don't take and
broadcast it to a general group until you have more relevancy (direct or
indirect). And no, I am not carrying Dinan's flag, their work and products
can do that for them.
