<E30><M20B25> Rough Idle

hello everyone,

i just had the honor of meeting gordon haines as i purchased his wife's
'89iX.  this car is great!!! i can't believe i waited this long to own a
bimmer!  anyway, on to my question.

i drove this car back from colorado (to michigan) and put about 2k on it in
~3 days.  i have noticed that the idle is a rough when cold, even a little
when warm.  sometimes there is even a little surging, 800-1500 or 2k then
back to 800. the exhaust has a very small leak in it.  other than that i
believe everything is in proper working condition.  inp II was done about
10k ago (maybe less, can't recall exactly) and the O2 sensor is new.  any
ideas or is this normal?  btw, it is stock.  thanks for all help.

boy, that altitude change sure made a difference!!  this thing is quite a
champ here.  i will be adding a JimC chip soon and a new exhaust.  btw, i
have pretty much planned on a ansa freeflow for the exhaust replacement.
does anyone care to comment on the longevity/performance of this exhaust?
