A Trunk Load <humorous>

I swear I heard this with my own 2 ears on Car Talk a couple of weeks
ago. An American woman living in France called the radio show. Her
boyfriend (I think that was the relationship) was a German engineering
student who lived in Berlin when the Berlin Wall came down. So of
course this guy and his friends all went and got their own pieces of the
Berlin Wall. When this guy moved to France to go to school, he borrowed
his father's "7 series BMW" to move his possessions, which apparently
included this chunk of the Berlin Wall.

The problem is that he can't figure out how to get it out. Apparently
this thing measures about 1 foot by 3 feet. The 3rd dimension was not
mentioned, but if it is 1 foot by 1 foot by 3 feet, it could weigh up to
700 pounds. They used a fork lift to drop it into the trunk. After 5
or 6 weeks, the guy was having a hard time making up new excuses to tell
his father why he couldn't return the car.

My thought: BMW AG should take care not to hire this guy. Any
engineering student should have been able to figure out in advance that
he could have a problem getting the Wall chunk out of the trunk.

Well, I sure hope you all enjoy that as much as I did.
