re: winter driving

Up here in Banff, Alberta,  we had a 10" snowfall last night.  On a 10
mile stretch of road, I counted 25 vehicles in the ditch.  A good assortment
of sport-utes, minivans and other cars, but also a tour bus and a cop
cruiser.  That first snowstorm always hurts the people who still think it's
summer.
