This would be an apples-to-apples comparison if Ford just 'created'
a Lincoln division - but those were separate companies bought out over
the years by the giants.  The Dodge Brothers made cars before Chrysler
came along and offered them cold hard cash (or bought up more shares).
And so forth.  Saturn is an anomaly - GM made an entirely NEW division,
with discrete (separate for you Aggies(*)) engine and body manufacturing
entities.  Whereas the Toyota/Lexus lines have lots of interchange (esp.
the first generation) and the home market Acura is even badged as Honda.

Hey, it's an Integra. No, it's an Accord.  Aw, heck, they're both gonna
be outrunning my 2002 ...
