<E32> HVAC fan controller

I am looking for a circuit diagram for the "sword" unit that controls the fan
speed for HVAC.  I suspect that one of the four power transistors has failed
causing the fan to work only on high speed most of the time.  (There are
intermittent periods where the variable speed operation functions.)  If anyone
has such a diagram or has a suggestion for curing the problem, I would
appreciate hearing from you.  The dealer has only an overall system wiring
diagram.  I assume that this is because BMW does not want this part repaired,
only replaced at a cost of about $300 plus labor.  I know that Programma
offers a core exchange rebuild, but I want to try to fix this myself first.
