i add:

i did not see this special on cnn and i certainly don't have the patience to
search thru a poorly organized wesite for the story, but, i believe this
simulator will be for tuning the interior system of the vehicle rather than
the complete vehicle package.  that's what johnson controls (JCI) does
(mainly).  they are a tier one supplier specializing in complete interior
systems (seats, headliner, trim, glass, consoles, etc.).  basically it
should help to control cabin design.  from what i know of JCI, it will
probably be a pretty cool tool that will actually be useful.  the reason i
can speculate to this degree is that i used to work for JCI and i currently
work for their largest competitor. ; )
