Snow tires
Seen alot of posts on snow tires and brands. Take it from someone who has =
lived in the Great White North (Montreal, Canada) where the snow is on the =
ground 4-5 months out of the year and the temperature gets down to =
negative double digits, you want great snow tires!
The Pirelli 210A is the ultimate dry winter tire hands down, may be better =
than some summer tires in the dry. In pure snow, it will never be as good =
as a pure snow/ice tire like Nokia Hakapelita, Toyo G02, Yoko Guardex, =
Bridgestone Blizzak. There are trade-offs when going dry performance vs =
snow/ice performance. So decide where you live, how much snow/ice vs dry =
you will face during the season and how much to compromise on each by going=
with each tire.
For someone in the snow belt, the 210A will not be the best choice. Here's =
my ranking of each from someone who has tried all the above!
lots of snow - Nokia Hakapelita
snow/ice - Yoko Guardex
snow/ice - Toyo G02
snow/ice first season wears too fast - Bridgestone Blizzak
dry/slush/rain/some snow - Pirelli 210A
Hope this solves any dilema's
