A computer and a joystick IS NOT a simulator; it is only a mock game.
Industrial and military simulators are complex, expensive, electro-mechanical
systems that induce physical conditions similar to those experienced in the
situation, short of the physical trauma.  

You'll never learn the *feel* of the car, it's limits, or situation
excitement/anxiety sitting in front of a simple computer terminal.  The
skidpad is the answer.
