RE: <All> 93V-015 service recall notice

Yes, it happened to my wife. She was driving along the road one day and
the car started driving a little funny. Kind of like it was misfiring.
She happened to be right by Al's Auto supply so she pulled in the
parking lot. She then heard a strange gurgling noise and saw what she
thought was smoke (it was actually steam) coming from under the dash.
So she immediately jumped out thinking her car was on fire. The second
she jumped out, hot coolant came shooting out of the lower heat vent
right where her legs were.

The biggest bummer of the whole thing was, she had already taken her car
in to the local dealer and they had supposedly already perfomed the
recall. So the whole incident should have never happened. Needless to
say that turned into a big mess. But, we were glad she didn't get
burned, I think all that pilot training gave her good reflexes. I also
think the car acting funny was because it was starting to overheat, so
it was a good thing it was doing that otherwise she would have been just
driving along and gotten sprayed by coolant.
