Actually, the math is a bit off - you're *adding* a percentage to the
base number, what you need to calculate for, is the *originating* number
that 427 is 21.4% of (so to speak :^)

427 / ((100-21.4)/100) = ~543.27 (HP)

Just to check, what is 78.6% (i.e. 100-21.4%) of 543.27? ~427
>From the 518HP (i.e. 21.4% * 427) you get only ~407

At any rate, 427 HP at the rear wheels is pretty damn respectable no
matter how you slice it! I'd like to see the actual dyno sheet to see
how the power falls "under the curve" - somtimes peak numbers can be a
little misleading. BTW, where did you find the 21.4 loss figure? Seems
reasonable, though I hear most tuners just using a 20% figure for a
rough estimate.
