<E36> Interior Lights Posessed

Hi all,  lately while driving, my interior lights will come on during
cornering, usually right and during braking, then shut off.  Would
anybody know the cause of this?   Would it have any thing to do with the
accelerometers that turn on the lights in the event of an accident or
something like that?

All my doors are shut tight...
