re:E30 weight saving

Rob - I too have a project 325e going... I'm not trying to save weight, but
couldn't help notice after I removed the seats and carpet there is this
dense closed cell foam that is HEAVY. That, coupled with the thick rubber
mat under the trunk carpet (bonded to the floor) has got to weigh over 50
lbs. I was tempted, but this is going to be a driver so I was holding onto
the sound deadening. Of course, you could put the carpet back in w/o the
foam...
