Lets check out the Z3-2.8 shift lever

  When short shifting the non M3 E36 cars you can install
the shift lever from an M3/328 like I did in my ti.  If
you have trouble finding this lever, the shift lever from
a Z3-1.9 comes close.  For the toggle switch effect you
can install the shift lever from a M-Z3.  If you would
like something in between, you could use the shift lever
from a Z3-2.8.  For a dimensioned look see of this shift lever check out:
