Which tranny oil to use?

Need to know what everyone uses in their '89 325iS manual transmissions. I've
used Redline MTL, but on a car w/ 104K the MTL leaks like a sieve. Hoping that
by going back to mineral oil the seals will swell and the leak will be
minimized. Seems like Pep Boys, Auto Zone, etc., only carry Hypoid multi weight
oils. Manual calls for SAE 80 API-GL 4 non-hypoid. What's the conventional
wisdom here?
