Pizzafest Door prize

Mr. Clay, and open letter

Saw your post about the Jim C chip you won at Pizzafest II. I'd like to make
you an offer for it, $5. I will then give the chip back to Jim C. so it can go
to someone more worthy than you. How does that sound?

I guess that on your campus in the northern kingdom you don't work on getting
door prizes for events, do you? If you did you would appreciate it more. The
door prizes are donated for end users, not as part of an auction. This is
really offensive to potential sponsors for future events. Think how you would
feel if you had made a donation and then found it being sold and also have to
provide tech support for it? This stinks and is very selfish on your part and
violates the spirit in which door prizes are donated. They were not intended
to be resold, that might not have been clear to you. Do the right thing,
return it if you cannot use it? Sure it is your property and you can do with
it as you want, but think of the cost. Or re-donate it for next year or to
Gateway Tech. Those are the correct things to do, not sell it and nearly
double the price in a couple days.
