E30 M3 Bearing

Hello, 
a very loud grinding sound coming from the right front wheel on my M3
tells me it's time to buy a new bearing. When I'm driving, the noise seems to
come from the differential, but I've checked it and definitively, it comes from
the front wheel, so to all those out there with supposed transmission noises, I 
recommend you to take a look at the front bearings too, since they might be
the culprits. I want to replace the bearing by myself. Does anyone know if it 
is a DIY job? Do I need any special tool? (I was replacing the front pads some 
days ago and while I was there I couldn't imagine how the bearing was attached
to the end of the shock absorber :-).

Also, does anyone know if an excessive use of the ABS could damage a front 
bearing? I'm always in a hurry and my poor M3 pays the consequences. Where
I live there are many mountains and many curves, so due to the hard braking (and excess of 
speed) the ABS actuates on the front wheels  6 or 7 times every day. Precisely, the bearing 
that has failed belongs in the wheel in which the ABS actuates first and most of the time.
Any ideas?
