<wob> chase scene trivia

Anyone who has seen Ronin spot the glaringly obvious continuity error in
the M5 chase scene ??

(I'm not talking about when the wipers were on in one shot & then
immediately off in the next next, nor about difficult to control things
like the size/location of dents and such on the car.)

answer later if no one gets it.

When this comes out video/DVD I'd love to see the outtakes from the
chase scenes and know how many cars they went through making the movie.

I do know that they used RHD version of some of the cars w/dummy LHD
steering wheels installed to get good reaction shots from the stars
while the stunt drivers were doing some of the scenes. The stars were
apparently sobered by the experience quite a bit. One of the advisors
(driver too?) on the film was a Jean-Pierre someone or other who has
recent Le Mans experience.

The chase in Bullit is ranked as one of the top of all time and the
story behind it is pretty impressive - they were covered in an issue of
either Car/Top Gear/Performance Car in the last 18 months - there was a
Ford Puma commercial where they digitally changed the Mustang into a
Puma, so there was renewed interest in the Bullit scene.

BTW the Mustang was the second generation - '67 I believe - not first.
It was a fastback GT, but I think the engine was somewhat tweaked :)

Ben
would have a '68 Charger if I could afford one
