Someone had a problem with a CLUNK / KNOCK noise on a E36 - any solutions? I followed
thread but I may have missed reply with proper soltion.
I have same problem, and I can produce problem simply by moving forward or backward.
This problem started only after the following maintnance were done:
. New Shoes (rear - for hand brake)
. New springs (rear for hand brake)
. New Rear Pads
. New Rear Bushings
All parts are BMW original, all installed by BMW specialists (10 years experience from
dealership).
BTW, my mechanic did mention that shoes may be to tight and that it should go away after
a few weeks - we'll let you know if it does! Reason why shoes were put tight so hand
brake lever does not lift to high - makes sense too me, it was really high prior to brake
job!
