Thanks to everyone who e-mailed.  Bob Stommel nailed it about a minute
after I posted with upper shock mounts.  Bingo.  I called my dealer
and they had an opening so I dropped the car off.  I'll be picking it
up in an hour!  

Kudos to Circle BMW, Shrewsbury, NJ (yeah, the guys who advertise
in the Roundel).  And I even forgot the box of donuts I was planning
to bring next time (or bagels, gotta be healthy).
