The blue book value of a "mint" 1990 M3 is ~17k. Who would actually
sell one for $3850? Or is this just another one of those online
auction scams?

John and others,
No, EBAY is not a scam. Sorry if I got some of you puzzled. Here it is in
plain English hopefully: The seller has a "Reserve Bid" which means he wants
to sell it at or above a certain price. For Exam: I was the highest bidder
($125.00) for a 21 piece real C/F kit, but did not meet the sellers reserve
bid....I lost. On this car or anything else with a reserve bid, you don't
know what this reserve is...could be 17k...could be 5k. Even if it doesn't
sell on EBAY, someone could still E-Mail him and maybe get a pretty good
deal.
I just thought ya'll should know about this..YMMV
