Before you remove the driveshaft with the car on the ground, make sure the emergency brake is set and the wheels are blocked. Don't rely (as I once did) on the tranny/park to hold it, lest it roll away once the tranny is no longer coupled to the rear axle! I know, I know, no intelligent person would do this... Robert T.
