E30 heated seats..

  I'm having a problem with the seats in my convertible 325.  The heated 
seats have stopped working.  They will work for a short amount of time and 
then blow the fuse.  Replace the fuse and they work for a while.  I have 
not seen any pattern at all. (certain amount of time, after a rain, etc..) 
 I can't seem to find any information on these etheir.  With the winter 
coming up, I would really like to get those operational, they're great in 
the morning :).
  Does anyone have any information on the seat heaters?  proper resistances 
at the plug underneath the seat would be good.
