Turner/Porterfield Brake Pads

     Hi guys,

Did anybody have any experience with Turner's racing pads? As far as
I know, they're made by Porterfield. But Porterfield also sell their
own pads under its own name with 3 different compounds (all Carbon
Kevlar) to choose from. R4 (for track), R4-S and R4-E. From the
specifications that I've read, they're somewhat different from Turner.
Is it true that Porterfield make those pads just for Turner? I was
also told you can use them both on tracks and street. Except guys at
Turner said it will squeal a lot while the people that sell
Porterfield said they don't make any noise at all!? So, I just want
to see if anyone on the digest have any experience with any of them.

While I'm on the subject of brakes, did anyone knows whether the
guiding bolts (7mm hex bolt I believe) on the caliper for E36 M3 are
the same as that on E36 non-M 3 series cars? And what will be the
correct torque setting for them? TIA for any info.

     Regards,

p.s. I let a friend of mine (drive a '94 Ford Probe GT) try the SS on
my car over the weekend, and guess what is his first reaction?
          "Holly Cow!!" Thanks again Ben.

     p.p.s. I still have 2 Dunlop SP2000 225/50 ZR 16 for sale. Have less
than 7000 miles on them. No patches or damages and very even
wear. Will fit E36 323/325/328 with sport package. Make me
             an offer.
