Is the E30 4dr larger then the 2dr?

I'm 6'3" and am in the market for an E30. I drove a '91 318is 2dr and a
'91 325i 4dr. The 4dr seems to have a lot more leg and head room. Anyone
know if it's really larger? Maybe it's the sport seats in the 318is?
