E34 Wheel Bearing Replacement

All four on my 97 323i had to go (good thing it was under warranty).

Place the car on a lifter and find a pipe (PVC so that it will be
lighter) between 2 to 3 feet.  Place one end of the pipe on the wheel
hub and the other by your ear.  Ask somebody to spin the wheel and
you should feel a louder-than-usual hum if the hub is bad,  Of course,
try to spin the wheels at differing speeds so that you can get to a
good conclusion and even find the right resonant speed.
