E30 blowing power window fuses

My 91 iX has blown the power window/sunroof fuse twice in a 24 hour period. 
I plan to take it into my mechanic Monday but was wondering whether
others have had similar problems. I add that just over a week ago
some of the idiot lights flickered for half a day or so  and  I wonder
if this might be related.

PS Thanks to all who replied to my muffler question. My beloved iX
seems to be going through an awkward phase.
