Jeff,
I'll tell ya...I threw one of of these Euro-OEM babies on my old,
clapped-out '92 325is...and next thing ya know...I felt like I was
goin' for a ride in....
Mark Nernberg's Full Race Trim M3...DER KOMPRESSOR!...
VVRRROOOOOOM!
I plunked down a few of my own bucks for this upgrade, and think that
it's gonna be hard to percieve a truly measurable difference (i.e.
similar to re-chipping your car) with this upgrade, but the car has
better throttle repsonse at higher speeds, in keeping with where this
mod is represented to be most beneficial.
There are also rumored to be several super-secret UUC procedures,
involving trips to Wal-Mart for dryer hose, or similar material, which
is alleged produce similar results for about 5 bucks.
The "Mac-Daddy", full blown version of this upgrade includes changing
over to the Euro-HFM and Airbox Assembly, in conjunction with a
custom-tuned chip.
Several '95 M3ers I know have done this, but I'm not sure what's in
the works for OBD-II cars like yours.
