E30 325iC questions, please help the newbie!

Just purchased a 1992 325iAC with 28K miles (the car spent its life in
Hawaii, and now is in Boston, that's one well-traveled German car).
Several questions come to mind:
1. The temp sensor is either missing or disconnected. I looked into both
brake ducts but don't see the sensor, and the computer flashes -22F.
2. OBC has incorrect plug (it was replaced). How does plug get installed,
does OBC need to be pulled out, does the panel need to be taken apart?
3. Could the wrong plug cause fuel gauge to work weirdly. mine read way
above full until 6-7 gallons left, than rapidly descends and turns on the
low fuel light at about 1/2. or is it definitely the sending unit, and if
so, how exactly do I pull the bottom of the rear seats to access it? Tried
pulling them straight up, but something is catching.
4. What size/shape screwdriver is used to take the radio out? Where is
balance/fader control? If it's the little wheel above the radio, mine is
missing.
5. Any good independent mechanics around Boston (MetroWest)?
6. Is there a person by the name Mike Cope on the list (and if so, and you
used to live in Hawaii, this is your former car).
