[E28] A/C compressor wanted (cheap)

This past weekend, I cleaned the compressor and replaced all of
the o-rings in my '85 528e's A/C system and cleaned out all the hoses.
Put everything back together and charged up the system, which purred and
put out an indicated chilly 55F temp from the vents after $15 and several
hours of work. Life was good.
But, beep-beep! My friend's freon-sniffer gizmo emitted several
chirps that noted a freon leak in the system. After performing several
leak tests at various points with the gizmo, I was able to ascertain that
my compressor has a leak due to metal fatigue. Suddenly life wasn't so
good...
Can anyone suggest a replacement compressor for $100 or offer me
a viable used replacement in the same range or less? Before anyone
complains how cheap I am- bear in mind I'm 21 and fix cars to help pay
for college.
