Man. Sorry to hear your chapter's so lame. Now a thought about _what_
a chapter is. It's People - volunteers, enthusiasts, organizers - Cars
- - BMWs for the most part but also any cars people are enthusiastic about
- - and Events - tech sessions, autocrosses, driving schools, winery
tours, dinners, and concours. Even TSD rallies count for something. ;)
Of course, as your note implies, a chapter requires a blessing from CCA
as well.
Now for the question. How much effort did _YOU_ put into making your
chapter a success? Do you even know anyone else in the chapter? How
did your officers (you do have them don't you?) get their positions?
What are they doing? If you're thinking "I dunno." then you're just
part of the problem -- get off your ass, find some of the folks, get
things stirred up some, have some parties with open invitations to
anyone with a Bimmer, GET THINGS STIRRED UP. (jeez, sorry for the
Roddisms.)
