Greetings Digestmates, Bubbas, Bubbettes, Pizza Flippers.......
Good news:
I've found myself an E3 worthy of purchase! *Completely* rust-free
'73 Bavaria, second owner, includes parts car in similar condition.
Bad news:
Cars are in Arizona.
Dilemma:
I live in North Carolina.
Driving a 25 year old car 2000 miles probably isn't the smartest idea.
As a buddy of mine posed the question:
"Do you *really* want to get stuck in Texas where it's so hot that the
armadillos are dyin' from the heat over a $20 part that will take a
week to get?"
The commercial car transporters want $850 a car to move these bad
boys. $1700 for two.
Budget will rent a 15 foot box van and dolly for about $500. That
only moves one car, however, so it'd be $1000 for moving the both of
them, and require two trips, perhaps.
Do any of you have any ideas for getting this done less expensively?
Any ideas I'm obviously overlooking?
TIA,
Frank Massaro
