a friend of mine tried to solder the Radio Shack bulbs himself and made a
mess, my advice is to go to the BMW dealership and buy the factory
replacement. When my OBC lights went out i bought the factory light insert and
it was about $20.00. I have a 1986 528e and using the method in the BMW
enthusiasts book it really was easy and took only 15 minutes. The OBC lights
in a 528e are very easy to change, according to the web sites i've seen about
the other models , the other models are much more harder to change. you can e-
