In my response to Neil C. O'Donovan regarding the meaning of
the acronym 'M50TU/B25 w/ VANOS' i 'mistyped' (fingers faster than
my brain, i guess..) and missed out the explanation of 'B25'.
I'm not sure about the B, but i could be 'Benzin' (german for gasoline).
25 is the engine displacement, 2.5 liters.
Another point of interest may be, that the early M50 engines, '91-'92,
did not have VANOS. It was added in '93, and - at least on the euro
spec engines - added significantly to the low end torque, and also
improved fuel economy some.
