<ALL> '97 Prices

Without formatting an entire table, let's hit the highlights.

* No-charge Scheduled Maintenance for 3 years/36000 miles is standard on all.

* AST (traction control) is standard on all 3 series ($425 on Z3)

* 318ti went up in price only $830.  This will include both AST (which cost
  $1100 for '96) and no-charge scheduled maintenance for 3 years/36000 miles.
  So effectively, the price has decreased, added customer care enhancements and
  gone up a model year.

* Active Pkg now costs $2150 vs $2625 for '96

* Sport pkg remains at same price except on 328i/s where it dropped $500, and
  power sunroof is now an option (even on 328) at $950.

* 328 prices stay the same with S/R as $950 option but maintenance program and
  ASC are standard.

* 528 series goes up $1000 *and* Moonroof is $1050 option with no other S/R
  available.  Choices are optional glass moonroof or no hole at all.

* 528 Premium Pkg price drops $350 but does not list side impact air bags as
  part of the package.  Perhaps they are now std (Sept. production).

* 540iA remains same, 6-sp increases $400

* 5, 7 and 8 series prices are effective with Sept. production but customers
  with boni-fide retail orders prior to Oct.1 will be eligible for "Price
  Protection", through their dealer.

* There's a problem with the supply of break resistant security glass for 750iL
  so it will be replaced in Oct/Nov production with the previous double pane
  side glass along with a $2600 price reduction.  These cars will also get the
  glass moonroof as standard.  Sept. production 750s already built with the
  glass will show it as an option.
